izzy's first camping trip

Izzy likes to be on the go, so camping was a little bit of a bore for her. She did, however, find hours of enjoyment with a little chair doug gave her...of course, I had just given her a nice,thick coat of sunscreen before she began to wallow in the dirt.

There were only two things we forgot on our camping trip...baby wipes and soap. (Great parents) Needless to say, we spent a LOT of time in the water and Izzy loved it. Surprisingly, the water really wasnt' that cold. we would stay in long enough to get water logged and then set on a rock in the sun and dry off...it was really nice. We yelled at Daddy as he flyfished up the river while we played in the shallow edges. No wonder we had hotdogs for supper instead of trout...We had the spot all to ourselves, it was really nice. The only problem was that too many people had warned us about bears and I could NOT sleep! After a 5 minute breifing on how to shoot a bear with a pistol and how I was to lay on top of Izzy while doug shot the bear, where the gun was located, etc, you would think I would've been perfectly at peace...no dice. I dreamed I heard bears sniffing our pillows, that izzy was walking around outside and being stalked by a panther, etc. I had a MISERABLE night of sleep and Izzy did too and since she decided to sleep in Dougy's tiny bag instead of my big one, so did Doug.
